The dry season Safari
The “dry season” began around June – October, and when the grass and soil turned brown, the Great Migration moved north into the central Serengeti and finally north into the Serengeti, where they crossed the famous Grumeti and Mara Rivers.
As water becomes increasingly scarce, large numbers of animals flock to permanent waters, which may be home to the best wildlife show in the world. This is the most popular travel time and public routes get very crowded.
The wet season Safari
Despite many comments and suggestions, the “green season” is a good time to come to Tanzania. From November to May, there are two rainy seasons in northern Tanzania. The land, once weather-beaten, has undergone a magical transformation in just a few days, and new green growth has exploded.
Fueled by much-needed water, migratory birds have returned to the period of prosperous sprouting of life. The great wildebeest migration flooded the small steppe plains of the southern Serengeti. You can climb Mount Kilimanjaro on some routes established by the Tanzania National Park Service. This is to preserve the unspoiled beauty of the wilderness for future generations and ensure the safety of hikers.
We recommend Lemosho and Marangu routes for beginners and older people, and Marangu and Umbwe for climbers with hiking experience. Camping is required for all routes except Marangu climbers sleep in a hut.
